Meet the Artist
Danny Holder began his journey in the realm of painting in 1981 and he still cherishes his very first piece. Initially, it was a casual pursuit, a hobby that brought him joy. However, approximately 15 years ago, he transitioned into a more serious engagement with the art form. Most of his knowledge has come from self-directed learning as he immersed himself in countless books and instructional videos, supplemented by a few formal classes throughout the years.
For many years, Danny’s focus was solely on equine subjects, influenced by his lifelong experience with horses. Eventually, his artistic exploration expanded to include canines and various pets, as well as, human portraiture.
Danny’s artwork is displayed in three foreign countries and numerous states across the U.S., all crafted in oil on stretched linen canvas. He takes great pleasure in inviting visitors to his home studio, offering them the opportunity to view not just a selection of his work but a glimpse into his creative process as well.
